Ligustrum Lucidum Oil is a non-volatile seed oil obtained from the fruit of Ligustrum lucidum, a plant deeply rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Known as 女贞子 (Nǚ Zhēn Zǐ), Ligustrum has been used for over a millennium as a classical tonic herb, with records appearing in Chinese medical texts from the Tang and Song Dynasties onward.

Unlike essential oils, Ligustrum oil is produced by cold pressing the seeds contained within the ripe fruit. This method preserves the naturally occurring fatty acids and lipid-soluble constituents valued in traditional and modern applications.
